Do you have a difficultly of trusting in institutions? Poe says, “You should! Beware of what you say hello to, because in the end you might be saying ‘Hello Madness.’” This story is a critique of the insane asylum system of Poe’s day saying, “The experts are saying we should tar and feather those who are struggling with mental illness.” Poe asks us to not blindly believe and follow the systems and institutions around us just because the “experts” tell us to do so. Enjoy this latest addition of my “adorable horror,” to read Poe’s writings set to my homage to “Hello Kitty.”
